*If you already hold a Level 2 qualification & are looking to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship, we have vacancies at Marlow, Beaconsfield, Old Windsor & Holmer Green.

My role is: Apprentice - currently completing Level 2

I like working for Poppies because: I learn new skills each day and every day is a happy one. Helping the children with new and exciting things is fulfilling, and knowing you have contributed to their knowledge and making nursery a fun place to be!

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: Around November time, we raised money and did fancy dress for Children in Need. Staff and children came to Poppies in their pyjamas. It was such a fun day with lots of great activities - the children loved showing us their amazing pyjamas!

Poppies is different to other companies I’ve worked at because: It has given me the opportunity to develop new skills in childcare, working whilst completing my qualification. It has opened up future options and possible career paths within childcare.

My role is: L5 Nursery Nurse

I like working for Poppies because: they have an amazing team throughout all five nurseries. Poppies also work alongside other agencies [for example, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists] to meet children's needs, which also expands my knowledge and understanding of childcare.

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: 18th September 2017 - working with an age group, which I have never worked with.

Poppies is different to other companies I’ve worked at because: they send you to internal and external training sessions to expand your knowledge and understanding of childcare.

My role is: Qualified Nursery Nurse

I like working for Poppies because: it is a friendly and focused nursery with dedicated staff who support each other to help care for the children in a calm, focused manner.

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: when we have dressing-up days and messy days doing activities that are fun and stimulating.

Poppies is different to other companies I’ve worked at because: It focuses on a great team spirit. Staff are communicative, friendly and supportive towards each other. The nursery has a lovely calm, nurturing atmosphere. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I started and my skills and abilities accepted, and I was allowed to to feel I was being respected at all times.

My role is: Room Leader

I like working for Poppies because: Poppies is a really supportive and friendly company! Lots of great events and activities for the children.

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: Christmas! The children have so much to do and it's really festive wiht lots of fun things to get involved in.

Poppies is different to other companies I’ve worked at because: I've worked only for Poppies and wouldn't have it any other way! Such a great team and company!

I like working for Poppies because: it's a nice, enjoyable, friendly environment. Everyone is happy - staff, children and parents included!

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: everyday - watching the children grow, develop and achieve is the best feeling!

I like working for Poppies because: we have a really great team - we are friends and not just work colleagues!

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: It's hard to choose one as I've worked with this team since 2005 and we have had many fun days over the years.

Poppies is different to other companies I’ve worked at because: it has a real family feel and everyone is very supportive in helping you to develop and learn.

I like working for Poppies because: it's friendly. I like to see the children change and develop their own personality.

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: Christmas lunch - the children always get excited for this and I see lots of happy faces.

My role is: Nursery Manager

I like working for Poppies because: we always strive for the best!

My favourite day at Poppies so far has been: Nursery Class Leavers' Party! We had a great turn out and it was a lovely way to say goodbye to the children and their families. We all got dressed up, enjoyed face painting and the balloon modelling was fantastic! We had an 'Animals of the Jungle' theme.

Poppies is different to other companies I’ve worked at because: we are a professional company with high standards while maintaining a personal touch. Lots of opportunities for staff training and career progression. Staff are always supported and can ask for help/ideas to develop their practice. We love what we do!
