All our nurseries are individual, unique and set in wonderful locations.
We carefully select our teams to make sure we have the best balance of people to ensure that every child has the best time at Nursery.
We respect that every child is an individual and we make sure we cater to their individual needs. We continue their daily routine at Poppies, making it a real home from home for the whole family.
We have an open-door policy and we encourage parents to be talking and sharing with the staff at all times.
Every child has a key person who will be assigned straight away, so you and your child have a friendly and familiar face to turn to and help get used to their new setting. All members of staff are qualified to at least level 3 or are currently training.
We have parents' evening twice a year, giving you the opportunity to sit down with your child’s key person and look through their learning journey, which tracks their progress and next steps. When it comes to the very special time of going to school, we will support you and your child as you adapt to the change. We will work with the school to ensure a smooth transition.
We are very proud of our nursery teams who work hard to ensure that every child’s experience at Poppies Day Nursery meets their families’ expectation! Please call with any questions you may have, and to come and have a look for yourself.
Kat Hurst joined the Poppies family as Area Manager in 2015. She spent five years at Northampton University, where she graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Studies, a MA degree in Management and the Early Years Professional Status. Kat has previously managed a nursery and has most recently worked as an Ofsted inspector. Her wealth of knowledge and experience enables her to support the Managers and staff from all five nurseries to deliver first-class education and care for children in their early years. Kat loves seeing all the children as she visits each of our Poppies nurseries, and she thoroughly looks forward to having a cuddle and hearing their stories about their day.
Kat is the Designated Senior Manager for Safeguarding Children at Poppies Day Nurseries Ltd.
‘We moved our children to Poppies from a nearby similar setup nursery, so had the chance to make comparisons. Poppies is much better, the environment and set up is light, spacious and cheerful, the staff are incredibly professional, dedicated and caring. The food is superior and healthy. Our children are very happy at Poppies and making good progress and development. We are so happy we moved to Poppies and would recommend you to other parents willingly. In fact, 2 other sets of parents followed us from the other nursery.’
