Poppies Bourne End opened in April 2006. We are situated in a beautifully converted methodist church and have created a very homely and welcoming environment. Poppies Bourne End were delighted to receive our second Outstanding outcome in all areas at our Ofsted inspection in 2013.
Poppies Bourne End has a vibrant vegetable patch and the children take part in our gardening club. The children enjoy eating their home grown fruit and vegetables through out the year.
We have a large natural exploration area where children enjoy searching for mini-beasts, playing in a mud kitchen and handling wooden natural materials.

'Poppies Day Nursery Bourne End is a wonderful place. The staff are caring, professional, attentive and friendly, and they all have the same priority - to provide the children with a caring, safe, happy environment. My 2-year-old son has been at Poppies for just over a year, he loves it. He has formed a wonderful bond with his key worker and he is developing lovely friendships with the other children. The food he is given is freshly prepared and they offer a great varied menu. Poppies provide a varied day of activities for the children and also have companies, such as Melody Music, come in and offer singing and music sessions with the children; my son loves this. I can see he is happy and content, and really enjoys being there. We are so pleased that we chose Poppies; it isn't the closest one to where we live, but it's certainly the best nursery we visited and we looked at many! The staff operate very much as one team and this shines through in the quality of childcare they provide.'
'A wonderful, caring environment. Our daughter is now 18 months old and has really flourished at Poppies since starting in the Baby Nest just before her first Birthday. She absolutely loves it; she is such a busy little girl and the variety of activities, outdoor play and interaction with the staff and other children is fantastic. The staff are so caring and attentive to her needs, and get just as excited as my husband and I do over her developments! It is almost time for her to move up to the next room (something I feel quite emotional about as the Baby Nest team have been so wonderful) and the way in which the staff are managing the transition is so considered; they are making every effort to ensure continuity of care and make the move as smooth as possible for our little girl. Needless to say we are very happy that we chose Poppies.'
